Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of a girl, Millie Dillmount, from a small-town in Kansas who moves to New York City to marry for money instead of love - a modern idea in the roaring 20's. She samples the "modern" flapper lifestyle, makes friends and runs into trouble when she moves into the Hotel Priscilla.
